We have received a number of questions about the grant program process. The following summary should answer most questions.

DEADLINES
Note the following deadlines in the schedule shown above.

  • May 1, 2008: The Designation Form for all Tier 2 projects must be received in our offices by 5pm, either via mail or hand delivery. Postmark is not sufficient.
    This form applies to projects approved for Step 2 on March 28, 2008 ONLY.

The following documents may be downloaded iif needed.

DEFINITIONS
The RMC's Grant Program Guidelines (55-page PDF file), in Section 1.4 (page 2), state, "...grant funds will be applied to three program areas that can be described in geographic terms."
The Guidelines, in section 2.2 (page 6) also state, "RMC staff will...identify ...'Target Areas' which have identified project needs but few project applicants..."
These definitions are the basis of the project groupings used below.

    EXCEPTION: The Urban Project Area group includes a few Rivers and Tributaries projects: along Compton Creek, the Rio Hondo and the San Gabriel River. For these projects, please contact the Urban Lands Program Manager, Alina Bokde.
